Audio CDs came next as the preferred way for people to listen to music, books and more. Today, there are even more options thanks to innovations like the MP3 player. You can download the audio versions of books to your MP3 player without ever needing a tape or CD. The Ipod is one example of a popular MP3 player, although you can find others including those that come as part of a cell phone. MP3 players are light, compact, ultra portable and hold lots of material.

Thanks to audio books, you can increase the time spent learning and being entertained. While others are listening to music on their headphones or in their cars, you can be listening to educational material or a bestselling book. The recorded book makes it easy to multitask and accomplish more than you ever thought you could. Not sure where to start with your audiobook collection? Try an international bestseller like The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown or any of the Harry Potter books by J.K. Rowling. Or, go for a nonfiction book on a subject you're interested in. Students can even learn their curriculum via audio material. You'll be amazed at how versatile and helpful the audio book can be!
