This trilogy of dragon themed fantasy books are quickly gaining popularity with kids and adults alike. So much, in fact, that there is even a new Eragon movie in theaters. If you don't have time to read this trilogy, you should consider getting an Eragon audio book. With an audio book, you can hear the text being read instead of reading it yourself. Many people prefer audio books because they're portable, flexible and convenient.

The story of Eragon is one of a young farm boy who finds a blue stone that he thinks is a gem. It turns out to be a dragon egg, and hatches before he can sell it for food. He names her Saphira, and learns that he is a member of a group called the Dragon Riders. The first book in the series is over 500 pages long, and not something that can be read or even listened to in a hurry. Like Harry Potter, Eragon is a fantasy filled epic that must be experienced and absorbed.

Book two in the Eragon trilogy is called Eldest and picks up where the first book left off. Larger than the first book, this one comes in at a whopping 704 pages. This is one reason why so many people choose to buy the Eragon books on audio format. You can listen to a book of this length a lot more quickly than you can read it. The third book in the series has not yet been released, and is being eagerly awaited by fans of the series. The magic and fantasy of the first two books is plenty to keep listeners on the edges of their seats for a long time.

If you liked Harry Potter, it's likely you'll enjoy Eragon. The Eragon series is long and involved, and pulls you into a world of fantasy and magic. If you're interested in things like dragons and the struggle between good and evil, you'll definitely enjoy the Eragon audio book series. If you think you're too old for this kind of thing, think again! This book series is just as entertaining for adults as it is for youngsters. All in all, the series is highly recommended to anyone who enjoys the fantasy genre.
